Coaches.. they are like teachers in school, trainers or consultants in the corporate world, or they can also be like doctors when one is hurt, or psychiatrists when one needs some consultation.. some can even disguise themselves to be like parents or best friends & buddies one needs to just be there for a shoulder to lean on..
Not everyone can be a good coach or an effective one when it comes to managing and guiding youngsters to achieve some level of targets… the same like any of the professions mentioned above.
Some coaches come with knowledge.. some with experience.. while some few come with both.. but almost all have one thing in common.. PASSION.. its something very few really pursue with all they have, so it’s really sad to see some are treated with disrespect by others.. people at management level of an organization, parents or even the athletes they coach.. even their own peers sometimes resort to backbiting and gossiping up to a point where some lost their sense of purpose & passion.. driven out by those who talks more than act.. or have more certificates than they can count but almost never spend more than an hour in the sun to do what they claim can be done..
Just like those other professionals in their professions, please understand that most of the times the coaches you see who are helping to nurture the next champion are the ones struggling to keep up with your demands, but some parents still blame coaches when their kids fail to shine.. while they are the ones who come to the training ground half of the time late or leave early or skipping time to attend functions.
Well.. let this sink in.. what you see is what you get.. you reap what you sew.. what you give, you’ll get back.
I’m posting this in hope everyone involved in coaching to hold your heads high & keep pushing.. keep doing the things you love .. and trust the process.. coz the wheel will eventually turn and you will achieve success insha Allah..
This is to all coaches & teachers & parents & those who do what they do out of passion…
When the going gets tough.. the tough gets going!
