Selangor International Indoor Archery Championship 2024

1. Competition Information

  • Competition date : 2-4 February 2024
  • Competition Venue: Hall C, Malaysia Argo Exposition Park (MAEPS) Serdang, Selangor.

3. Events
The competition will comprise of Individual Men/Women qualification round and Men/Women Individual Elimination round.

 

4. Registration

Malaysian / PR of Malaysia

  • Pendaftaran bagi pemanah Warga Malaysia & Penduduk Tetap (Permanent Resident with IC) adalah melalui  MAREOS NAAM.
  • Sila daftar samada di bawah INDIVIDUAL, CLUBS atau NATIONAL MAREOS.
  • Nama peserta hanya akan didaftarkan selepas selesai membuat pembayaran.

5. Paid Training Shooting Target

  • Paid Training range is available on 1st February 2024 from 14.15 hrs till 22.15 hrs.
  • Fees of RM 30.00 per session of one hour practice with new target face.

6. Shooting Qualification round will be organized in AB-CD format

7. Qualification Round Practice

  • 3 ends warm-up before competition on the Field of Play
  • Immediate follow scoring once the field is reset

8. Equipment Inspection

  • Daily at 08.00 hrs for archers competing on the day.
  • Located on waiting line
  • Spare equipment must also be brought for inspection. Team Captains are to check the details of their athteles such as name, ID numbers are correct
  • Inform the Judge if details are not correct and the Judge will inform Results Team.
  • Instruction to use the scoring PDA terminals will be carried out if requested.
  • Athletes numbers will be issued on the day of qualification round before warm-up and will be placed on 3m line
  • Athletes numbers must be worn on the quiver or thigh, facing the waiting line while shooting

18m 2 rounds (30 arrows per round) /40cm vertical tri-spot target face / 90 secs per end of three arrows

9.2. Compound Division
18m 2 rounds (30 arrows per round) /40cm vertical tri-spot target face / 90 secs per end of three arrows

9.3. Barebow Division
18m 2 rounds (30 arrows per round) /40cm 10 rings target face / 90 secs per end of three arrows

9.4 Traditional Division
18m 2 rounds (30 arrows per round) /40cm 10 rings target face / 90 secs per end of three arrows

9.5. Recurve U 15 Division
18m 2 rounds (30 arrows per round) /40cm 10 rings target face / 90 secs per end of three arrows

9.6. Recurve U 12 Division

10. Individual Elimination Round

10.1. Recurve Division (Set System)

12. Appeal Procedure

  • An appeal form is attached to this document.
  • In case of an intent to Appeal or an actual appeal, the times indicated on the Appeal forms must be considered

13. Results System

  • Qualification round – scoring will be done by athletes. One athlete records, on the official paper based score sheet, the scores of all other athlete on that target. At the same time, another athlete, on that same target, will in put all the scores of the athletes on that target into the HHT (Hand Held Terminals). All athlete/agent should verify that all scores are written and entered correctly on both score cards paper and HHT.

14. Competition Rules

  • The Archery competition will be held in accordance with the latest edition of the World Archery (WA) rules that are in force during the conduct of the Games.
  • In the case of any disagreement in the rules and regulation, it shall be resolved by Jury of Appeal.
  • All athletes and officials participating in this tournament will be issued with only ONE accreditation card (card, plastic cover and lanyard)
  • Accreditation card must be worn at all times in the practice and competition areas

15. Additional Competition Rules (Traditional Division)

  • Arrows – to follow WA rules except fletches will be feathers.
  • Bow – one-piece (Pic 2)
  • Wrapping at grip must not be too thick that can be used as arrow rest
  • No added equipment ir marking that can be used for aiming.
  • Riser- wood base/natural
  • Limb – of any material
  • Arrow rest – not allowed
  • Stabilizer, weight, damper – not allowed
  • Finger sling – not allowed
  • Only single nocking point is allowed
  • Thumb ring release is allowed

16. Logistical Aspects

  • Transportation : Venue, Accommodation, Airport etc own arrangement
  • For oversea participants, transportation from official hotels to venue shall be upon request with the hotel.
  • Meals own arrangement.

17. Protocol and Ceremonies

  • All medalist to be ready at athletes’ holding area 15 minutes before to be ready for the ceremonies.
  • The ceremonies will take place daily upon completion of event.

18. Mixed Zone and Press Conferences

  • Interviews will take place at the Mixed Zone and Athletes will be requested to pass through the mixed zone to speak with the media

19. Medical Related Issues (Medical Representatives)

  • First Aiders are available on site for any Emergency.
  • Serdang Hospital is the official hospital.

20. Dress Instruction

  • Athletes, officials and staff should wear the appropriate clothing and have the correct appearance when on the FOP during competition
  • Athletes, team officials and technical crew should wear their uniforms and sports shoes (covering the entire foot) having the same
    appearance as per division, following WA rules

21. Other Matters of Importance

  • Team Captains please instruct your team members to use the litter bins provided which are located on the competition, practice ranges and commons areas
  • All results and updated documents will be on uploaded on official web-page
  • Each one has to respect rules on the FOP and OUT of the FOP during all event.
  • In all hotels & home stay it is strictly forbidden to smoke in rooms
  • If you don’t respect it, we could take penalties of which the cancellation of the participation of your team, what obviously we wish to avoid
